When acquiring your property in the canton of Vaud, acquisition costs amount to roughly 5% of the purchase price of your property. These include:
⇒ Transfer tax: a tax levied on all transfers of real-estate ownership*.
*For the canton of Vaud it amounts to 3.3% of the sale price, split between 2.2% for the canton and a maximum of 1.1% for the municipality.
