Tip of the month no. 04: The OIBT inspection (ordinance on low-voltage electrical installations)

For safety reasons, owners are required to have the compliance of their building's electrical installations inspected.

In the case of a sale, if no inspection has been carried out in the past 5 years, it is up to the future buyer to take care of it.

However, the inspection is not mandatory but strongly recommended, because in the event of incidents linked to the non-compliance of the installations, insurers can turn against the owner.
