Law & taxationTip of the month no. 04: The OIBT inspection (ordinance on low-voltage electrical installations)
OIBT inspection and property sale: for safety reasons, electrical installations must be compliant. Your obligations explained.

For safety reasons, owners are required to have the compliance of their building's electrical installations inspected.
In the case of a sale, if no inspection has been carried out in the past 5 years, it is up to the future buyer to take care of it.
However, the inspection is not mandatory but strongly recommended, because in the event of incidents linked to the non-compliance of the installations, insurers can turn against the owner.
